Top tips for flying from Liverpool Airport
If you're parking at Liverpool airport make sure you know WHERE you're supposed to be parking. Sounds obvious, but some of the areas closest to the airport terminal in Liverpool are not brilliantly signposted and some seemingly never-ending works going on in the car park don't help! Park in the wrong area for two weeks and you could find yourself coming back to an unwelcome car park charge - so check and double check!
Take flight times into consideration when comparing costs. Ryanair's flights from Liverpool to Tenerife are cheap but the flipside is that they take off at about 6 in the morning!
Top hotel tip for Liverpool Airport
There is a Holiday Inn Express within walking distance of the airport - . However, what we have found is that you can very often stay at the nearby Crowne Plaza instead for the same money or less. This hotel operates a minibus to the airport which you can book (for free) when you check in, and if the minibus is full they'll pay for your taxi! This hotel can offer car parking whilst you are away, and you have the benefit of the excellent David Lloyd leisure club next door which you can use during your stay. One thing to bear in mind though, if you are on the early Ryanair morning flight, is not to book a rate at the hotel that includes breakfast, because you'll be leaving too early to enjoy it. A great hotel, often you can book it for £50-60, whereas the Holiday Inn express is about £70.
